Hello! My name is Ryan, and I am a Game Designer specializing in Systems Design. I am a senior studying games and animation at The University of Texas at Dallas. Currently, I am the Lead Designer for InVein at the UT Dallas Game Production Lab. In 2025, I worked with a 40-person team to create and release Gravebound on Steam. In 2020, I created Serenity Cove, which rose to become one of VRChat's top 20 highest-favorited worlds. This world was featured in The New York Times and used by large companies like HoloLive Production.

I love designing Player Systems, Combat & Encounter Systems, and Progression Systems that interconnect to create meaningful, emergent gameplay. My design philosophy centers on mechanics that feel natural and intuitive at first, yet reveal depth and nuance through player experimentation and mastery. I ground my systems in a game’s world, always seeking to innovate and expand on what’s possible within the player experience. My goal is to create systems and mechanics that feel cohesive, rewarding, and deeply satisfying to engage with.
